Vigilantes Deal Comets 5-3 Loss
|
The Windsor Vigilantes topped the Kingston Comets, 5-3, in Canadian action at Comet Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Windsor pitcher Cliff Simpson. Jeremy Nicholson earned the save for Windsor, his 1st of the year. The win has Windsor at 6-3.
The result might have been different for Windsor, had it not been for John Dyke, the five-time All-Star . Dyke stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Windsor up, 4-3. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Simpson attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
