Waveriders Best Vigilantes in Pitching Duel
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Owen Sound Waveriders and the Windsor Vigilantes. Owen Sound won it, 2-1. Owen Sound starter Chris Andrews was in command. Ed Jenkins earned his 16th save in 20 chances. With the win, Owen Sound upped its record to 45-42.

The Waveriders got a big at-bat from third baseman Dan Bowman. For the game, Bowman was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Owen Sound a 2-1 lead.

"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Andrews.
