Windsor Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
The Toronto Maples picked up a win at Ontario Ballpark, defeating the Windsor Vigilantes, 1-0. Starting pitcher Aaron Barnes was an essential part of his team's success. Barnes picked up the win for Toronto, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Toronto is now 40-47, Windsor 46-41.
Gerald Powers drove in one run for Toronto. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Roger Horne. It was his 46th RBI of the season.
