The Chicago Architects topped the Kingston Comets, 6-2, at Comet Field. Chicago left fielder Samuel Amsden was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times. Chicago, at 58-30, is 8½ games up in the South of the Border.

John Lambert was 2-4 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch for Chicago. The 24-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Ralph Lapthorne. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Amsden told the Chicago Bulletin.
