Rodríguez Shuts Down Vigilantes, 7-0
Gabriel Rodríguez led the Hamilton Mounties to a shutout victory, 7-0, over the Windsor Vigilantes at Harbour Field.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Rodríguez recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Rodríguez yielded 6 hits and had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Windsor manager Greg Erbisch said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

Rodríguez has made 22 starts, tossed 164.2 innings, struck out 150 batters and walked 31. His record is 12-6 with a 2.46 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .193 batting average.
