Bears Lose to Neptunes, 8-3
|
Nick Keddy, who led the USA in wins with 15 last year, had a strong outing for the Toledo Neptunes against the Traverse City Bears at Ballpark of Toledo. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. Keddy picked up the win for Toledo, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The win puts Toledo at 8-4.
Casey Cowley, the first overall pick in the 2046 draft, chipped in a 3-run home run for Toledo in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Cowley. "You've got to get results."
