Eagles Top Bears in Extras, 5-4
|
The Milwaukee Eagles topped the Traverse City Bears by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was right fielder José Aranda. Aranda went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Eagles. Picking up the save was Eugene Carney, his 1st. The win gives Milwaukee a record of 7-5.
Seung-jun Park, the 27-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Park contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put Milwaukee up, 5-4.
"It was a test of wills," said Mike Trigwell, the Milwaukee skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
