Maples Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
The Toronto Maples had to overcome a big game from Hamilton first baseman Glen Dickie to leave Harbour Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5, in 14 innings. Dickie was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Steve Tait, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Toronto winning streak has reached 5 games.

David Kenney went 1-4 with a double and 4 walks, while adding 3 RBI for Toronto. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the 14th. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Wilford Ferguson. It was his 26th walk of the season.

"Our team showed some resilience," said Kenney.
