Maples Upend Vigilantes, 6-2
|
Toronto picked up a win at Justice Field, toppling the Windsor Vigilantes, 6-2. Pitcher Bill Hubert was one of the reasons the Maples triumphed. Toronto now has a 4-game win streak.
Toronto used the timely hitting of António Martínez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Maples on top, 5-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Hubert said his team "played with determination."
