Conner Lifts Comets to 6-1 Win
|
A good performance from left fielder Patrick Conner helped the Kingston Comets defeat the Thunder Bay Caribou, 6-1. Conner went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Comets. Greg Patterson, the winning pitcher, is now 2-0. He went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 3. The victory makes Kingston 6-7.
Kingston took a 6-1 lead on Conner's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Al Pellerin in the top of the sixth, propelled Kingston to the win.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Conner told the Kingston Daily.
