Caribou Win Squeaker, 2-1, Over Comets
|
Thunder Bay Caribou right-hander Ralph Baxter pitched a good game against the Kingston Comets at Caribou Field, leading his team to victory, 2-1. The triumph makes Thunder Bay 8-6, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2054.
The decisive blow was delivered by Sean White in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Patrick Barron to win the game for Thunder Bay. The home crowd went nuts.
"We found a way to win tonight," White said.
