The Chicago Architects topped the Detroit Thunderbirds, 8-3, with second baseman John Lambert playing a big role. Lambert was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Architects in the win. Al Pellerin, the winner, is now 9-8. He struck out 4 and walked 4 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. Matt Graves came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
