Mad Catz Taylor Smacks 5 Hits
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Mississauga's 3-2 win over Harbor Springs, second baseman Steve Taylor was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Expedition Grounds.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Taylor said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Steve Taylor doubled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, hit an RBI single in the 11th and doubled in the 14th.
This season, Taylor is batting .341 with 15 hits, no home runs, 3 RBIs, .396 OBP and has scored 3 runs.
