Great Week for Thunder Bay's Robinson González Monday, May 5th , 2053 27-year-old Robinson González sent shock waves through Great Lakes Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Canadian Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, González made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .423 average, 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the Thunder Bay Caribou center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but González certainly made his mark last week. This season, González is batting .265 with 21 RBIs, 14 runs scored and 7 home runs. |
