July's #1 Batter Announced Friday, August 1st, 2031 Beach balls were coming in at Dan Thorne in July and he banged, bashed and blasted them all over the park, putting up a .386 batting average and hauling in the USA Batter of the Month trophy. The 30-year-old Duluth third baseman collected 39 hits last month in 26 games. He put up 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and 20 runs scored. Thorne also drew 10 walks and compiled a .447 on-base percentage. Currently Thorne is batting .303 with 125 hits and 12 home runs. He has knocked in 43 runs and scored 61 times. |
