Walt Bond Hurt, Out for Year Sunday, September 11th, 2033 Playoff hopes of Bears player Walt Bond have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the closer suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in today's game against Chicago Architects. Bond is expected to miss up to 2-3 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. For the year Bond has earned 43 saves, made 68 relief appearances, fanned 109 hitters in 67 innings and posted an ERA of 1.34 and a 4-2 record. |
