Another Setback For Toledo's Jesse Blanchet Sunday, June 18th, 2034 Jesse Blanchet is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a hamstring strain. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Neptunes sent the 30-year-old reliever back to the doctors for reexamination. Blanchet told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Blanchet will now miss a minimum of 4 weeks. For the season his stats show Blanchet has no saves in 7 relief appearances with a 0-0 record and 2.57 ERA. |
