Rookie of the Month Winner Announced Thursday, September 1st , 2039 Toshiki Gato of the Owen Sound Waveriders was good, solid and consistent on the mound this month. He fashioned a fine 3-1 won-lost mark and 4.50 ERA in 0 starts to get the Canadian Rookie of the Month honors. Gato had a very impressive August, finishing with 9 strikeouts in 8 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .185 average. This year Gato has made 22 relief appearances with 2 saves. In 24 innings, he has permitted 27 hits, fanned 17 hitters and recorded 3 wins and 3 losses with a 4.50 ERA. |
