Playoffs? No Chance for Detroit Sunday, August 19th , 2040 It's back to the drawing board for the Detroit Thunderbirds. The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Thunderbirds have missed the playoffs 22 times in their 26 years as a Great Lakes Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Thunderbirds have only made the playoffs once. |
