Top CAN Reliever Honored Sunday, September 30th , 2040 Windsor Vigilantes reliever Alexis Clément said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy. He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2040 Lake Ontario Relief Award for the Canadian. "There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Clément said. On the season, the Wasaga Beach, Canada native had 28 saves in 59 relief appearances, 53 strikeouts in 66.1 innings and a record of 1 win and 5 losses to go with his 2.98 ERA. Irving van Capelle of the Toronto Maples finished second in voting, while Mark Sabine of the Toronto Maples finished third. |
