CAN Announces Best Player Award Sunday, October 11th, 2026 The manager of the Hamilton Mounties said he thinks Vic Whimster is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 25, but it will be hard to top the left fielder's 2026 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Canadian Lake Superior Player Award. His winning campaign featured a .323 batting average and a .417 on-base percentage this year. In 139 games he piled up 156 hits, 39 doubles, 6 triples, 25 home runs, 73 RBIs and 97 runs scored. Collin Miller of the Kingston Comets finished second in voting, while Roberto Nieto of the Thunder Bay Caribou finished third. |
