SL1 Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Thursday, September 6th , 2046 Jerry Powell said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 25 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Leamington Mariners rising star has won the Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award for 2046. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.36 ERA over 66 innings. He also had 42 saves in 57 relief appearances, 50 strikeouts and only 19 walks. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Alberto Espinoza of the Plymouth Rockers finished second in voting, while Brian Walker of the Mississauga Mad Catz finished third.
