Hasegawa Whitewashes Mackinac Island, 3-0 Tuesday, May 14th , 2041 The Pointe Pelee Monarchs did little to support starter Yakumo Hasegawa against the Mackinac Island Cougars, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Cougars, striking out 16 and surrendering 1 hit. The performance from Hasegawa allowed Pointe Pelee to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Yakumo, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Hasegawa told BNN reporters following the win.
