Manitoulin Island Second Baseman Nets SL1 Award Monday, August 6th , 2040 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Andrés Fuentes of the Manitoulin Island Royals reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Fuentes rocked opposing pitching for a .385 average (5-for-13), 2 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. Fuentes is hitting at a .244 mark this season. His stats show 30 home runs, 60 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played 96 games for the Royals. |
