López Tosses 6-0 Shutout Against Plymouth Friday, August 8th , 2042 Manny López kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Leamington Mariners were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Plymouth Rockers at Hard Rock Field today. The right-handed López gave up no runs in his start, permitted 5 hits and had 3 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," López said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." On the season López has compiled a 12-6 mark with a 2.36 ERA in 22 starts. In pitching 160.1 innings he has 109 strikeouts and 7 walks while limiting the opposition to a .225 batting average.
