Mendoza Swats 3 HR Against Dearborn Monday, July 13th , 2048 Luis Mendoza was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 10-2 Sarnia Canadians triumph at Levagood Park today. The 25-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Canadians past the Dearborn Cosmos. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Mendoza told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The third baseman went 3-for-3, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Luis Mendoza hit a solo-shot off Pete Messier in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Clark Lloyd in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Héctor Martínez in the 9th. For the season Mendoza has hit .348 with 15 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has played in 77 games and scored 33 times. |
