Torres Rocks Night Train for 3 HRs

St. Catharines Saints shortstop Bartolo Torres sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the Manistique Night Train, Torres told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Torres pushed the Saints past the Night Train, 9-4. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Torres told reporters after the game.
Bartolo Torres hit a two-run home run off Eugene Carroll in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Eugene Carroll in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Rodrigo Gallardo in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
In 2056 Torres has hit at a .343 clip with 24 hits, 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and has scored 18 times.
