Brown Dominates Joes in 9-0 Shutout
Joe Brown was in a mood to talk following the Bay City Rollers contest against the Saugatuck Joes, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Joes, 9-0.

"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Brown said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."

The right-hander blanked Saugatuck on a 3-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 3 strikeouts.

Brown's record up to now is 2-and-3 with no saves and a 3.86 ERA. He has given up 61 hits in 60.2 innings with 38 strikeouts.
