Architects Beaten By Eagles, 5-2

The Milwaukee Eagles locked up a win at Pier IV Grounds, knocking off the Chicago Architects, 5-2. On the mound for Milwaukee was right-hander Michael Bergeron. He played a major role in the triumph. Bergeron got the win, improving to 1-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. The Architects fall to 12-16 and continue their lackluster start to the 2053 season.
The Eagles got a big at-bat from third baseman Sam Simms. For the game, Simms went 1-4 with a triple. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Milwaukee a 1-0 lead.
"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Bergeron.
