The Traverse City Bears got a stellar effort from pitcher Ward Covey, helping Traverse City score a win over the visiting Milwaukee Eagles, 5-1. The Bears now have a record of 13-17.

In the bottom of the third, Wes Winman delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Traverse City third baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Bears in front, 5-1.

"It feels good to get this one," Winman told the Traverse City Times.
