Neptunes Sunk by Eagles
|
The Milwaukee Eagles picked up a win at The Nest, topping the Toledo Neptunes, 6-3. On the mound for Milwaukee was left-hander Donald Hubbard. He played a principal role in the triumph. Walton Ross, now 2-4, was credited with the win in 1.2 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The victory puts Milwaukee at 17-28.
Milwaukee took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Eric Molina hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Eagles.
"Donald -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Eagles manager Mike Trigwell. "He was the key to us winning."
