Bears Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Bears fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.

In the 5-4 Traverse City win over Detroit, the impact of Bernie Stoddart was substantial. Stoddart, who finished 4th in the USA in on-base percentage with .367 last year, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times. The first-place Bears have a one-game lead in their division.

The Bears procured the win, in large part because of shortstop Wes Winman. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Stoddart said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
