Thunderbirds Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Hamilton
|
Detroit Thunderbirds starter Terry Noble kept the Hamilton Mounties hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-0 win. Noble went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-8. Today's win puts Detroit at 47-62, while Hamilton falls to 47-62.
Dan Vokey, the 32-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Vokey contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Detroit up, 5-0.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Vokey, "and then get after it again."
