The Toronto Maples picked up a win at Ontario Ballpark, knocking off the Thunder Bay Caribou, 6-1. On the mound for Toronto was left-hander Aaron Barnes. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win, Toronto upped its record to 69-61.
Romain Lemaire hit a 2-run home run off Ernest Ferguson in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Maples ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Lemaire had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Barnes.
