Eagles Win, 3-2, in 10
|
There was no shortage of dramatics at The Nest.
The Milwaukee Eagles and the Toledo Neptunes played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Eagles won it, 3-2, in 10 innings. In the game, Milwaukee first baseman Markus Teigland went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Milwaukee reliever Brenton Ricketts was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Luke Mews took the loss.
The Eagles got a clutch hit from second baseman Mitch Whiskin. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Eagles.
"This place was rocking at the end," Whiskin said.
The Eagles sit in last place in the South of the Border with a record of 59-74.
