Super Swinger -- Gómez Slams 5 Hits Friday, April 24th , 2054 5 times is the charm -- at least for José Gómez. The Toledo Neptunes center fielder tore up the Duluth Sea Gulls to the tune of 5 hits in 8 at-bats at Sea Gulls Field. The offensive onslaught from Gómez powered the 13-5 Neptunes win. "Gómez was a tough out," Duluth manager Alex Wobbema said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." José Gómez doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, grounded out in the 11th, struck out in the 13th, singled in the 15th and hit a two-run single in the 15th.
