Hamilton Win League Championship Monday, September 19th , 2044 Jim Ashley said he didn't even realize how well he had been playing in the League Championship until he was shown his own statistics. The Hamilton Mounties left fielder put up a .455 average with 0 home runs, 1 RBI and 6 runs scored, enough to earn him series MVP honors. It all added up to his Mounties advancing to the GLBL Championship, with a 4-1 series win over the Kingston Comets. "I didn't really pay attention to the numbers or my stats at all as we went along," he said. "I'm just so focused on trying to help the team win, that's it." The series victory had become official with a 7-4 triumph at Harbour Field. Even if Ashley is not paying close attention to his stats, the rest of baseball certainly will be keeping an eye on him as the playoffs continue. "I like to be under pressure and think I respond well to it," he said. The Hamilton Mounties don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Traverse City Bears - Detroit Thunderbirds series. Detroit leads the series 3 games to 1.
