Hitting Streak Still Alive for Davis Monday, May 3rd , 2049 With 1 hit at TP Stadium today, Ken Davis added another game to his hitting streak -- the Tinley Park left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Thoroughbreds today, as they fell, 2-1, to the St. Catharines Saints. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," St. Catharines manager said later. "I'll let him get 1 hits in 1 at-bat if it means we get a win." Ken Davis singled in the 8th. This season Davis is batting .296 with 32 hits, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, 11 walks, .367 OBP and has scored 24 runs. He has played in 29 games. |
